GOOD MORNING PEOPLE.
early in the morning wake up just to study biology...
and here i am blogging =.=
so wonderful~ *dumb*
Thanks dear for waking me up! :D <3
i thought you will be online laa~
nvm you need lots lots and lots of sleep =X
i got until 620 to study!
my chem paper and A maths paper was a fiasco...
hopeless in amaths la =.=
today's paper....
E maths paper 1 = 2 hours
Biology Paper 2 = ? hour ?
hahahha~ hope i can score for the essay. (:
been soooo tired lately that i was late for school.
and i even thought of ponning physics prelim! wth?

BIOLOGY STUFF-

How do carbon dioxide and water enter the leaf?
CARBON DIOXIDE
-photosynthesis occurs
-CO2 rapidly used up
-the conc. lower in the leaf than surrounding air
-the CO2 in surrounding air diffuse into the leaf
-surface of mesophyll cells have a thin layer of moist
-allow CO2 to dissolve into it
-CO2 go into cells as solution

WATER
-xylem + phloem = vascular bundle
-xylem transport water and mineral salts
-move from veins to the cells by osmosis

How does leaf adapted for photosynthesis?
Petiole(leaf stalk)
-hold leaf in position
-get maximum light energy
Thin flat lamina
-allows maximum absorption of light energy
-allows CO2 to reach inner cells rapidly
-enables sunlight to reach all the mesophyll cells
Waxy cuticle layer on Upper and Lower epidermis
-to reduce water loss through evaporation
Stomata present in epidermal layers
-open in sunlight
-allow CO2 to diffuse in
-O2 to diffuse out
Choroplast containing chorophyll present in all Mesophyll cells
-absorbs light energy
-converts to chemical energy
-used for manufacture of sugar
More choroplasts in the palisade mesophyll
-more light energy is absorbed near leaf surface
Interconnecting system of air spaces in spongy mesophyll
-allow rapid diffusion of CO2 into mesophyll cells
Veins containing Xylem and phloem
-xylem transport water and mineral salts to mesophyll cells
-phloem transports sugar away from leaf

BLOOOOOOD.
Plasma
-pale yellowish liquid
-90% water
contain
-soluble proteins(fibrinogen;prothrombin; antibodies) Fibrinogen and prothrombin help in clotting of blood.Antibodies fight diseases
-dissolved mineral salts (calcium essential for clotting of blood)
-food substances
-excretory products
-hormones

I SHALL STOP HERE due to lack of time ;x
Rushing ((:

thanks deeeear for waking me up :D
